We made another performance. This time with Dick and Arlene Dunlap playing experimental music. They were artists and musicians from Santa Barbara, friends of another musician Daniel Lentz, in Los Angeles, whose music a bit like Philip Glass was very good.
I had been trying to make a figure back then but backed off it.
The figure would be there but became submerged somehow in the landscape I would soon come to paint.
It remained in the fore front of my mind, though, and has been a crucible of some sort to this day.
